Whitehead Monckton wins 'Best Trade Stand' Award

Whitehead Monckton was awarded the South East Farmer Magazine award for Best Trade Stand at the East Kent Ploughing Match 2008, held at Waldershare Park in Dover on Wednesday 24th September.

The Ploughing Match is a vibrant and growing event that is well supported by the local agricultural and allied trades, with more than 80 trade stands forming the heart of the show.

In addition to the traditional ploughing matches there are also sheep dog trials, a horse show, tossing the sheaf competition, livestock and fruit and vegetable competitions along with a variety of events in the main ring which all attract huge crowds.

The 'Best Trade Stand' trophy was awarded to Whitehead Monckton for providing outstanding hospitality to its visitors, including wine, bitter and a hog roast, as well as a prize draw to win a hamper of Kentish goods worth £100.
